About Ecocraft Development Society (EDS)

Greeting from Team EDS !
We are pleased to introduce ourselves in the name of “Eco Craft Development Society”, as a committed Non Profit Organization engaged in generating sustainable livelihoods for the Artisans belonging from weaker section of the society present in backward areas of Rajasthan.
Eco Craft Development Society is a unique platform created by a group of Artisans, Designers and Development Professionals. This society believes that artisans are the center stage and helm of all affairs, and hence we are working on key issues of Craft & Culture, Micro Finance (SHGs), Marketing platform development for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation, Women’s Development & Empowerment. It is widely recognized that artisans, SHGs and SME units need finance to break out of conditions of long capital investments and low working capital.
In the first instance, such artisans may need to overcome complicated decisions to make in terms of how to earn money, whether to develop new enterprises, which technologies to adopt, where to sell produce, how to react to problems, how to manage multiple demands on limited cash resources and how to build up assets for security or larger investments. Thus an ideal situation which is sought is that these individuals and units receive a coordinated combination of services to improve their health, nutrition, education, business activities and many more. At Eco Craft Development Society, we are in process to do so, such that these communities can build a healthy livelihood by transforming their greatest skill of craft and art as their asset.
Core team of Eco Craft Development Society consists of social entrepreneurs and practitioners coming from diverse sectors and each one of them is giving his or her priceless contribution in achieving the objectives of social and noble cause of the organization.
